The Fiji Mission to the European Union (then the European Economic Community) was first established in July 1973. The Head of the Mission (HOM) was His Excellency Sir Josua Rabukawaqa, who was resident in London, where he was also accredited as Fiji High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.
