Improving Facilitation and Implementation of Investment Projects The Interim Government is strongly committed to raising the level of investment in the country as part of its effort to create employment opportunities, improve the standard of living of the people of Fiji and in particular to recude poverty. Concerns have been raised by investors both foreign and local that the major hindrance to the successful implementatio nof investment is due to the delay in the approvals process among government agencies. To facilitate the expeditious implementation of investment projects, investors with proposals that we submitted to regulatory agencies more than 3 months ago and who have not yet received satisfactory responses, are requested to subit their proposals and the reasons they have been given for the delay to hte following: 1. All proposals received by the two agencies will be reviewed on an urgent basis and responses will be provided within three weeks. All submissions must be received within three weeks from the date of this public notice.
