Fiji welcomes visitors and to facilitate easy entry, everything has been done to make the process as pleasant as possible. Entry visas are granted on arrival for a stay of 4 months or less. The Fiji Embassies / High Commissions issue visas upon the sole approval from the Fiji Department of Immigration. All visa applications received are sent to Fiji on a daily basis for processing. Normal processing times for correctly completed visa applications is a minimum of 10 working days from receipt.
What countries are exempted from acquiring visas for entry into Fiji?

Nationals of other countries require pre-arranged visas, which can be applied for at the nearest Fiji Embassy / High Commission closer to their country of residence.
Requirements for the issuance of pre-entry visas:
- A completed visa application form
- Two (2) passport size photos
- Proof of funds / Sponsorship letter - local sponsor
- Travel itinerary – confirmed booking is preferable. (do not purchase air tickets etc. prior to visa approval)
- Full address in Fiji (hotel booking, relatives etc.)
- Passport- valid at least 6 months from the departure date from Fiji
- Visa fee:
- 45€ single entry visa
- 80€ multiple entry visa
- Courier fee for returning passports:
- 10€ via registered mail
- 80€ via DHL

Visas may be extended for up to six months on application to the Department of Immigration in Fiji (Suva, Lautoka or Nadi). It is necessary to have an onward or return ticket and sufficient funds. Those wishing to stay more than six months should consult the Department of Immigration or see the Immigration website: http://www.immigration.gov.fj/
A National or citizen of a country not listed above who holds an outward ticket for travel from the Fiji Islands to a destination in another country for which he or she holds a visa and will continue his or her journey form a port or an airport of disembarkation in the Fiji Islands to such destination on a ship or an aircraft that is scheduled to depart the Fiji Islands within 3 hours after the time of disembarkation.
Those wishing to reside and work in Fiji , even on a temporary basis, require proper authority to do so before arrival. In most cases, prospective employers who make the necessary arrangements sponsor such people.
Fiji is noted as one of the friendliest places in the world but visitors who intend to reside, or to reside and work, must make certain they have satisfied immigration requirements.
